Leading UX strategy across multiple AI products serving admins, GPs, and LPs within the private equity ecosystem, while scaling a design team and introducing a unified design system.

Context
Lantern.ai is a fast-growing AI platform expanding its product suite to support users across the private equity ecosystem, including admins, GPs, and LPs.

The challenge
As products expanded, UX inconsistencies, accessibility gaps, and unclear product language began slowing alignment across teams. Design needed to evolve from execution to leadership, while keeping pace with a fast-moving product serving multiple user types.

My role and impact
As Product Design Lead, I defined UX direction across multiple AI products while managing and mentoring a team of four designers. I shifted design conversations from feature-level decisions to ecosystem-wide coherence, ensuring long-term consistency across the platform.

I introduced the Lux design system, establishing shared components, accessibility standards, hover states, and interaction principles to support scalable growth. I also led persona creation and helped define a shared product language so teams could make faster, more consistent decisions.

Alongside system-building, I simplified the Assure current user journey using Lux components, redesigned the side navigation with nested sections, and clarified hover interactions to improve discoverability and usability. I worked closely with the PM to find a solution for incoming data review versus quarterly reports, helping resolve ambiguity in the workflow and improve product alignment.

This work created a stronger design foundation supporting multi-product expansion and improved organisational alignment during a period of rapid change.
